LRTC Wild Horse Mentors'
WILD HORSE WORKSHOP '99
Part 12

Gary Biggerstaff

Not all of the workshop activities involve gentling and training. Horse health is important too.

We were fortunate to have Gary Biggerstaff, an equine dentist, come and explain about equine dental care and also show that even relatively recently gentled horses can be given proper dental care.

Cheri Unrue

Cheri Unrue volunteered to run the Wild Horse Cafe which turned out to be a rather hefty undertaking. The cafe had to be located outside with a wind chill of "minus something" and the cafe actually blew away once. (Next year the cafe will be indoors, if there is one.)

Adopter Support
Volunteer organizations recognized by the BLM provide adopter support in the form of training information and mentors who can provide assistance. The LRTC Wild Horse Mentors can be located Here
