LRTC Wild Horse Mentors'

Jill riding "Christy" bridleless

Jill exudes horse knowledge and horse talent. She's involved in more volunteer
horse activities than we can list. Suffice it to say that she's the horse
guru in her region and has been the knowledge and motivation behind a number
of notable young equestrian proteges.
We don't know why she volunteered to be Workshop Director as it seems contrary to her general good sense, but she tackled the often thankless and hectic job and we all appreciate it! |

As you can see with the wild one, Saratoga, Jill holds her own in the gentling pens.

| One of the secrets to gentling and training a wild horse is to avoid triggering the horse's flight or fight response. Low resistance approaches and positive motivators have proved to be the most efficient and humane approaches to wild horse gentling. |
