LRTC Wild Horse Mentors'
WILD HORSE WORKSHOP 2001
Part Thirteen

Clinician Assistants

Ken Johlke and his students

We couldn't run the program without the Clinician Assistants (known as 'CA's.) They supervise participants in the pens and allow ten pens of action to take place with only a half dozen clinicians to oversee everything.

The CAs are the more advanced participants who have proven their skills at other workshops and want more responsibility.

When we find ourselves with 100 or more participants at a workshop, we can pretty much figure that the CAs are going to shoulder a great part of the load. Working under the supervision of the clinicians, the CAs gentle some of the horses and they provide supervision and assistance to hands-on participants that have been assigned to them.
