LRTC Wild Horse Mentors'
WILD HORSE WORKSHOP 2000
Part Eleven

Cher Eastep

Clicker training with "Christy"
"COL" Cher (formerly known as "SGT" Cher, until her battlefield promotion at WHW'98) is the consummate organizer and the one we all turn to in order to keep things moving as they should. Not only does the Colonel keep the program moving, but she's a pretty good trainer.

At the workshop Cher demonstrated, among other things, clicker training for wild horses.

Teaching "Wind Dancer" to
pick up her foot on cue
As the workshops grow larger Cher has less time for teaching and is more involved with hands-on administrative duties.

Janet Tipton

This workshop would have not happened without the efforts of Janet Tipton who served as Co-Director, Event Secretary and ran the Transportation unit. She apparently was so busy at the workshop that she wasn't out where most of the photos were taken. (If someone has any workshop photos of Janet, please email me!)

Adopted Horse Uses
Adopted wild horses are finding their way into virtually every equestrian discipline. Many are also finding "jobs" as ranch horses, on pack strings, in law enforcement as police horses and they are used by the military.
