LRTC Wild Horse Mentors'
WILD HORSE WORKSHOP 2003
Part Seven

Robert Denlinger

The sign says
"Will Gentle Horses for Food"
Robert really understands horses and is our most creative thinker. He developed many of his skills working with "hopeless cases" that were brought to him at his farm in Greenup, KY. Robert gets lots of people involved and teaches people to "think outside the box."

Robert teaches people to work beyond rote memorization and "habit practices." His emphasis is using positive motivators to establish oneself as the "alpha" in the relationship.

"And that's why we stay outside the fence."

Wild Horse Adoptions
Adopting wild horses to citizens is a humane way of dealing with the wild horse and burro population problem. The key to success is educating adopters in safe and humane approaches to gentling, training and caring for their adopted animals.
